Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi → Lake Nakuru
Depart Nairobi early in the morning. Drive via the scenic Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch at your lodge, enjoy an afternoon game drive around the lake in search of flamingos, rhinos, waterbucks and other wildlife. Overnight stay in a lodge at Lake Nakuru.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru → Masai Mara
Morning game drive in Lake Nakuru after breakfast. Then depart to Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in Mara, into the plains to see abundant wildlife and possibly start encountering migrating herds. Overnight in the Masai Mara.
Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara
Spend the entire day exploring Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Focus on migration hotspots, river crossings (seasonal), predator sightings and views of the Mara’s stunning landscapes. Dinner and overnight at Mara lodge.
Day 4: More Game Drives in Masai Mara
Another full day in Masai Mara to maximize your migration experience. Optional extra game drive in early morning, picnic lunch or bush breakfast, continue wildlife watching through the afternoon. Overnight again in your lodge.
Day 5: Morning Drive & Return to Nairobi
Early morning game drive in Masai Mara, then after breakfast depart back to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon, with drop-off at your hotel or airport. End of safari.
